One Girl's Opinion

My plans for this month, including an overnight Denali trip, went kablooey when we got steamrolled by a start-of-semester cold. At least there are pretty fall leaves to look at.



I took this photo the other morning (one of the very few sunny days we've had this month), just wanting to get an up-close view of the water droplets scattered across all the leaves, and with the low angle of the sun, ended up with a really cool image of sunlight refracting on the leaf.

Yesterday I tore out the remaining plants in the greenhouse and got things mostly tucked in for winter. (My lungs did not appreciate this and are letting me know it.) I still have to do a general cleanup of the garden area, and move some stuff in - I use the greenhouse to store my bike and a few other things over the winter. And there's a hose that needs to be drained. But we are mostly ready.

... Well, physically ready. Not so much psychologically. I love fall above all other seasons, but oh god I am not prepared for 7 months of winter this year.
